Sophia's Day!

Justin and I had big plans for Sophia's birthday. We were going to take her to the American Girl doll store and spend the day with her downtown. We talked it up and she was so excited to get a new baby. When we got there it was not the reaction we had hoped for. She didn't want an American Girl doll with all the cute clothes she wanted a baby and not only a baby but a little black baby :)  She did want shoes for the baby and an umbrella just in case it rained. Even though it was not what I pictured God taught Justin and I a great lesson in that simply things in life can make you happy and showed us just how precious Finley Sophia really is. She didn't care about all the fancy, expensive stuff - she just wanted this little black baby! We finished the day with pizza for lunch and ice cream with gummy worms for dessert. Her "Sweet Shoppe" party is this weekend so we will be preparing for that all week. Granny Rhonda and Becky are coming in for the big day and bringing Sophia's big gift, a bike :)

 Looking at all the dolls!

This was her pick - her name is Lisa :)
